Mr. Rangel-Domene is the President of BCP Securities Mexico, a joint venture with BCP Securities, a US investment bank specializing in emerging markets. Previously, he was CEO at Nacional Financiera and Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior. Prior to that, Hector served as president of the Business Coordinating Council and president of the Mexican Bankers Association. He began his career in 1972 as a Citibank (Mexico) account executive and later he was nominated a Vice-president at the head of the Corporate Banking. In 1978 he joined Somex as the Credit Director and the merger of this institution with Banco Mexicano, S.A. assumed the Corporate Direction of Credit at the expense of all the credit activities of the institution. He has been a member of the board of directors of Grupo Industrial Maseca, Gruma, Fresnillo PLC, Frisa Industrias, The Franz Mayer Museum, Fundacion Carolina Mexico, and a trustee of Universidad Iberoamericana. He was also a member of the Crisis Prevention Committee in Emerging Markets of the Institute of International Finance in Washington, D.C., treasurer of Federacion Ecuestre Mexicana, and co-chairman of the Museo Interactivo de Economia in Mexico City.
