Tours will take place Tuesday evening from 6-8pm. You can indicate your interest in either tour within the registration process.
Join us at the new Ray W. Herrick Laboratories for a tour of our facilities. The new building opened in the fall of 2013 and houses research in the areas of:
- High Performance Buildings, Thermal Systems and Air Quality
- Noise and Vibration Control, which includes research on Acoustics, Dynamics and Materials
- Electromechanical Systems & Advanced Engines: Controls, Signal Processing, Sensing, Estimation, Diagnostics and Prognostics.
- Perception-based Engineering: Modeling of Human Response for Machine and System Optimization
Tours are open to all guests, and will last about 1 hour.

Are you designing motors, fans, or compressors for HVAC systems? Magnet wire or winding wire is a key component for increasing the efficiency of today’s machines. Learn how magnet wire is manufactured by touring Rea Magnet Wire’s Lafayette plant. The tour will cover the manufacturing process from receipt of aluminum or copper rod through final inspection. Rea Magnet Wire is the largest manufacturer of magnet wire in North America with six manufacturing plants. This is a new tour option and is limited to the first 50 participants.
