Global Fellows Coordinator
Dr. Marinero is the Global Fellows Coordinator at the Office of Global Engineering Programs and Partnerships at Purdue. She is primarily responsible for coordinating the Purdue Partnership with CONACYT and the Institute of Innovation and Technology Transfer (I2T2), Monterrey, Mexico. This Partnership promotes inter alia a variety of collaborative educational opportunities for faculty and students at Purdue and leading educational institutions in Monterrey, Mexico. Dr. Marinero has been closely involved with the Purdue Partnership with Monterrey, Mexico from its inception in 2014. In her first position at Purdue, as Director of Experiential Entrepreneurship at Discovery Park, she helped formulate the MOU between Purdue and I2T2 of Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico which formed the basis for the Partnership. In her new position of Global Fellows Coordinator Dr. Marinero is responsible for increasing the number of externally funded Ph.D graduate fellows in Engineering from Monterrey, Mexico and with furthering faculty and student exchange between Purdue and participating institutions in Monterrey, Mexico. Dr. Marinero holds a Ph.D. in International Law from Georg August University, Goettingen, Germany and a Master’s in History from Edinburgh University, Scotland. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Law from Edinburgh University, Scotland. She is a member of the California Bar and has Immigration Law offices in Silicon Valley, California and at Purdue Research Park.
