Dr. Alexander J. Moseson is a global sustainable development engineer and entrepreneur. He was a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the US Agency for International Development (USAID), on the Higher Education Solutions Network (HESN) team within the US Global Development Lab. He also served there on the core team for the Global Innovation Exchange, and represented USAID on the White House (OSTP) inter-agency working group for Making. Prior, as a student and then faculty member at Drexel University, his programs benefited Tanzania (low-cost lathe), India and the USA (affordable “green” cement), and Thailand (upland agriculture and water) - the latter supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He also (co)-founded two startups, co-created the Technology Seeding development framework and a course on sustainable engineering, and has been featured in national TV, radio, and print.
