Nuclear Engineering Student spends Summer at ETH Zurich

Victoria Noe-Kim
Victoria Noe-Kim, Purdue School of Nuclear Engineering, is on her way to Zurich where she will spend the summer working on the upgrade pixel project at of Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH Zurich).

Victoria is funded by the Global Engineering Program, Office of Professional Practice, and the Swiss government's 'Think Swiss' program.

Victoria writes: 'I have been interested in nuclear energy and nuclear medicine after talking to professionals in the field. I believe that nuclear energy can be clean energy and it can efficiently produce more energy than other methods. As I have been trying to acquire in-depth knowledge in nuclear engineering, I recognize the importance of physics and mathematics, both of which I plan to do a minor in. I believe that the ThinkSwiss Research Program will allow me to have a great opportunity to explore the global research environment and interact with experts in the field.'
