(fab-ruh-tawr-ee) - A fabrication laboratory at Purdue University pursuing innovation at the intersection of manufacturing, materials, and robotics. Led by Professor Rebecca Kramer.
Opportunities for undergraduate students:
The Faboratory is always seeking highly motivated undergraduate students to assist with research projects. Students should contact Professor Kramer for more information. Please note that we strongly prefer long-term projects (one year or more) due to the significant amount of training required for our projects.
Opportunities for graduate students:
The Faboratory at Purdue University will be moving to Yale University in July 2017. Prospective graduate students should apply to the Yale School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science. Please specify interest in working with Professor Kramer in your application. The Faboratory typically adds 1-2 graduate students each year and will be recruiting from Yale's applications this year.
Opportunities for postdocs:
The Faboratory at Purdue University will be moving to Yale University in July 2017. The Faboratory is currently accepting postdoctoral researcher applications in all areas of soft robotics with appointments beginning in July 2017. Applicants should hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or another related field. Applicants should send a single PDF document to Professor Kramer (firstname.lastname@example.org) containing a cover letter, CV, and names and contact information for at least three references.
