(fab-ruh-tawr-ee) - A fabrication laboratory at Purdue University pursuing innovation at the intersection of manufacturing, materials, and robotics. Led by Professor Rebecca Kramer.
Opportunities for undergraduate students:
The Faboratory is always seeking highly motivated undergraduate students to assist with research projects. Students should contact Professor Kramer for more information. Please note that we strongly prefer long-term projects (one year or more) due to the significant amount of training required for our projects.
Opportunities for graduate students:
The Faboratory typically adds 1-2 graduate students each year. Candidates should apply to the School of Mechanical Engineering and specify interest in working with Professor Kramer in their application.
Opportunities for postdocs:
The Purdue Faboratory is currently seeking a postdoctoral researcher in the area of system integration and control of robotic fabrics. The start date for the appointment is flexible, but preferably August 2016. Applicants should hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or other related field. Applicants should send a single PDF document to Professor Kramer (firstname.lastname@example.org) containing a cover letter, CV, and names and contact information for at least three references.
