Research Programs for Undergraduates

On the Purdue campus each summer, 150 SURF undergraduates conduct research for 11-weeks under the guidance of a professor and graduate student. Additionally, students have opportunity to apply for the summer program at NIST. For this program, Purdue will submit the university proposal along with the undergraduate applications through the government grant proposal process. Both of these opportunities are noted below.

There are many other research opportunities for undergraduates during the summer. Some of these are listed on the Resource webpage.

Purdue Summer SURF Program

Summer 2016
Application Deadline: Thursday, March 10, 2016
2016 Program Dates: May 23 – August 5

Applications for 2016 will be accepted beginning January 4.
