Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Dr. Sujay Sanghavi received his B.Tech in electrical engineering from IIT Bombay. He then received an M.S. in mathematics and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His graduate research focused on communication networks. While at the University of Illinois, he received the Harriett and Robert Perry Fellowship in 2002 and the Mavis Memorial Fund Scholarship Award in 2005.
Dr. Sanghavi joined MIT as a postdoc, where he worked on large-scale statistical inference and machine learning and on their interactions with networking communications. His primary research interest is the development and analysis of large-scale distributed algorithms for modern information systems, using tools from probability, optimization, and combinatorics.
