Anad Raghunathan

Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Dr. Anand Raghunathan received his B. Tech. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras, India. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Princeton University. He was a senior researcher at NEC Laboratories American, Princeton, New Jersey, where he led research efforts on advanced system-on-chip (SoC) and embedded system architectures and design methodologies. He was also a visiting research collaborator at Princeton University's department of electrical engineering.

Dr. Raghunathan's recent work focused on exploring security as a concern in embedded system and system-on-chip design, including the development of MOSES, a security solution for next-generation mobile appliances. He has also worked on various aspects of SOC and embedded system design methodologies, including power analysis and reduction and on-chip communication architectures.

Dr. Raghunathan has authored a book, 8 book chapters, and over 150 conference and journal papers. He also has 23 U.S. patents. He was selected by MIT Technology Review as one of the "TR35" top young innovators in 2006 for his work on mobile appliance security. He is a Golden Core member of the IEEE Computer Society and a senior member of IEEE.
