Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics, and Electrical and Computer Engineering

Guy Lebanon joined the Purdue faculty in August 2005 as an Assistant Professor with joint appointments in the Department of Statistics and the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He completed his PhD and a brief Post-Doc at Carnegie Mellon University working on geometry and ranking in statistical machine learning. Prior to that he worked at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology - in the field of computer vision. His industry experience includes a year at RAFAEL working on automatic target recognition in infra-red images. His general interest area is the theory and applications of statistical analysis of high dimensional structured data.
