Weinong (Wayne) Chen
Associate Professor of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, and Materials Engineering
Professor Chen received his Ph.D. in Aeronautics with a minor in Materials Science in 1995 at California Institute of Technology. He joined the faculty of The University of Arizona in the Fall of 1995 and moved to Purdue in Spring of 2005 with a joint appointment in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics and School of Materials Engineering. His expertise is in the development of novel experimental methods, and characterization and modeling of the dynamic mechanical behavior of advanced materials. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
