Surthriving Week: December 2nd-6th

Surthriving week is a week-long event run by Purdue Engineering Student Council (PESC) with different events each day, aimed to promote well-being and provide healthy avenues of stress relief for finals exam studying each week. This year’s Surthriving Week is a collaboration between PESC, Timmy Global Health, Purdue Student Union Board (PSUB), Purdue Student Engineering Foundation (PSEF), and the College of Engineering.

Here is a list of all of the wellness related activities during the last two weeks of the Fall 2019 semester:

Monday, December 2: PESC Pop-Up, 10:30am-1:30pm ARMS Atrium: snacks, drinks, giveaways and socializing with Purdue Engineering Student Council

Tuesday, December 3: Therapy Dogs 7-8 pm in Hicks Library with Lafayette Therapy Dogs International, 

Wednesday, December 4: Yoga and Meditation 4:30-7:30 in the Co-Rec Center with PESC

Thursday, December 5: Nutrition Demo, 6-8 pm in the Co-Rec Center

Friday, December 6:

UNPLUGGED Celebrate a college-wide day of being unplugged from social media and relax with your fellow classmates plus food, drinks, and face-to-face socializing with COE faculty and staff

8:30 - 2:30 pm, ARMS atrium: Pancakes with PESF bring your appetite for pancakes made by your fellow classmates in Purdue Student Engineering Foundation (PSEF)

2:00 - 3:30 pm, GRIS 102: Beyond Coffee mixer for Grad Students and PostDocs by CoE Office of Graduate Education, ABE GSA, and IE GSO

3:30 - 5 pm, ARMS atrium: Unplugged social event student, faculty, staff IRL social

Monday and Tuesday December 9 and 10: Fuel for Finals, 9 am - 2 pm: take a break from studying for finals and visit the ARMS atrium for free drinks, snacks, & encouragement!
