New annual event to honor early career faculty research achievements

All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the first annual celebration of Purdue faculty members who have received Early Career Awards from various federal agencies.

The inaugural 2023 event is hosted by President Mung Chiang, Provost Patrick Wolfe and EVP for Research Karen Plaut and will take place from 4-6 p.m. March 20 at Purdue Memorial Union's East and West Faculty Lounges.

The list of 2023 honorees can be found here.

The dean of each college will recognize the awardees along with the heads of schools or departments where the faculty have appointments.

Following the recognition ceremony, there will be a discussion hosted by distinguished colleagues Christopher Brinton, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering; Somali Chaterji, assistant professor of agricultural and biological engineering; and Christina Li, assistant professor of chemistry, who have received multiple such awards.

The event will conclude with a reception.
