Percifield receives APSAC award

Carolyn Percifield
Carolyn Percifield, director of Strategic Planning and Assessment for the College of Engineering, has been chosen to receive the 2014 APSAC Excellence Award by the Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee at Purdue. Percifield was nominated by Arvind Raman, associate dean for Global Engineering Programs and the Robert V. Adams Professor of Mechanical Engineering.

The APSAC Excellence Award annually recognizes a full-time AP staff member from the West Lafayette campus who shows initiative, leads by example, provides exemplary customer service, acts as a university ambassador and is a high performer.

Letters of support, citing Percifield's work with the CoE's strategic plan, the Colombia-Purdue Institute for Advanced Scientific Research and the Purdue Student Engineering Foundation, among other achievements, were submitted by Juan Ernesto de Bedout, chair of the Engineering Advisory Committee, and George Chiu, professor of mechanical engineering.

Percifield will receive a plaque and $1,500 at the APSAC recognition luncheon on May 14.
