Oakes receives Purdue engagement award

Bill Oakes, director of EPICS and associate professor of engineering education, has been chosen by the Purdue Office of Engagement to receive its 2015 Faculty Engagement Fellow Award. The annual award is given to a full professor who has done outstanding work in the scholarship of engagement.

The Office of Engagement annually presents several awards to reward outstanding accomplishments that exemplify the highest levels of excellence in engagement; reinforce the core characteristics of the scholarship of engagement, and promote engagement as a powerful means for making impact.

Oakes will receive the award at an upcoming awards celebration.
