Kaushik Roy, the Roscoe H. George Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been named winner of the 2011 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Circuits and Systems Society Technical Achievement Award.

The Technical Achievement Award honors individuals whose exceptional technical contributions to a field within the scope of the CAS Society have been consistently evident over a period of years. Contributions are documented by publications (including but not limited to patents) and based on originality and continuity of effort. All CAS Society members are eligible for nomination.

Roy has been at Purdue since 1990. His research interests include low-power electronics, silicon and non-silicon device/circuit co-design and VLSI signal and image processing.
