Revankar elected AIChE fellow

Shripad Revankar, professor of nuclear engineering, recently was elected fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE).

Revankar is director of the Multiphase and Fuel Cell Research Laboratory and also serves as a visiting professor at Pohang University of Science and Technology, South Korea. His research currently focuses on multiphase flow and heat transfer, microgravity multiphase flow in packed beds, fuel cell design, simulation and power systems, thermochemical water splitting hydrogen production, reactor thermal hydraulics and safety.

The AIChE Admissions Committee makes its nominations based on several rigorous criteria. The committee examines the nominee’s long-term excellence in chemical engineering practice, normally over a period of 25 years or more, service to the profession of chemical engineering and significant professional accomplishments.
