Members of the Ohio Northern University EPICS team have built a 1/4 scale model of NASA's Curiosity Mars rover based on schematics provided by Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which built the rover for NASA. The model was built for, and delivered to, the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, OH. The project took a year to build and will be on display to the public this summer at the Dayton Air Show and Summer Moon Festival. Armstrong Air & Space Musuem Director, Chris Burton was quoted in the Wapakoneta Daily News as saying; “It will be an interactive exhibit where people will be able to operate part of it,” Burton said. “I think a lot of people will be very interested, especially children.
