News from ASU – The team, Engineering Smiles, got their start in 2013 in the Engineering Projects in Community Service program. EPICS pairs multidisciplinary student teams with a nonprofit, community or governmental agency to solve an engineering problem and develop professional skills. Engineering Smiles partnered with IMAHelps, a California-based nonprofit that organizes missions to Central and South America to provide medical and dental care to underprivileged populations.

2017 EPICS and IEEE Workshop at Vellore Institute of Technology

This will be an “invitation only” interactive workshop for faculty who are leading EPICS students at their institutions and those who would like to learn more about introducing EPICS to their campus. Facilitated by the EPICS leadership team, including faculty from Indian EPICS institutions and IEEE, this workshop will give you the tools you need to develop a customized plan for your institution.

Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to pave the way for community service engineering projects on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
