EPICS Spring 2014 Week 13 Announcements (April 14 – 18, 2014)

  1. This Week’s Lecture: Monday, April 14th at 4:30 pm in ARMS B071: Effective Transitioning

  2. Prepare for Design Reviews: Second round of Design Reviews will be held next week , April 21 – 25, 2014. The week 14 Design Review is similar to the week 7 Design Review in style and scope, but should focus on progress made since the last Design Review presentation and how the team will transition and the semester plan for the beginning of next semester. All teams are expected to participate. A few reminders on how to prepare for your design review:

    a. Make progress on your project! Completing prototypes or portions of your project, getting stakeholder feedback, testing aspects of your design, etc., are excellent ways to prepare for the Design Review!

    b. Design Reviewers: Although we are inviting external reviewers, we highly recommend that your team invites additional reviewers (e.g., professors, local resources, project partners if appropriate) to the Design Review. If you need a parking pass for your reviewer, please send the name of reviewer, affiliation and date that the pass is needed to Cathy Noerenberg ASAP. (We can no longer leave passes for visitors at the parking garage. They either have to be mailed or picked up at Purdue West.) We can also accommodate remote reviewers.

    c. Design Documentation: Please email the specific sharepoint URL or path of your updated Design Documentation to martingl@purdue.edu at least 5 days prior your team’s design review to be posted to password protected site. This will provide the background information to Design Reviewers to prepare for your Design Review.

    d. Design Review Presentation Practice: It is recommended that you schedule time for your team and advisors/TAs to practice and get feedback on your presentation. ARMS 1098 B/C can be scheduled using the calendars on Sharepoint.

  3. Leadership Workshop participants: You can pick up your HW 3 in the EPICS office (ARMS 1200).
