The purpose of the EERI Purdue University Student Chapter is the dissemination of knowledge of the theory and practice of all phases of Earthquake Engineering and other related fields, as well as the furtherance of the professional development of students. The object of the Chapter is to encourage and inform the students in reducing earthquake risk by advancing the science and practice of Earthquake Engineering by improving the understanding of the impact of earthquakes on the physical, social, economical, political and cultural environment, and by advocating comprehensive and realistic measures for reducing the harmful effects of earthquakes.

This person will be a primary liaison with the Instituteâs 2,800 members with lead responsibility for membership retention and recruitment campaigns.
The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) seeks a dynamic, creative, experienced, and technology-aware Program Associate. This person will be a key staff member with internal and external responsibilities for multiple projects and programs. The Program Associate will also provide support or lead on a range of association activities such as webinars, annual meetings, conferences, and member and chapter relations.
The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) has one or two internship positions available for recent college graduates who are interested in gaining valuable professional experience while supporting the Instituteâs mission to reduce earthquake risk. These positions can begin as early as November 2016. Applications should be submitted by October 19, 2016.
