Student Organizations:

There are several environmentally or engineering-related student organizations on campus which might be of interest for EEE students.

Society of Environmental and Ecological Engineers: SEEE serves to provide a link between students, faculty, administrators and alumni in efforts to increase awareness and growth of this organization.  SEEE will form social and professional gatherings where SEEE participants will be able to hear speakers, learn of job opportunities, practice volunteer work in the community, as well as have interactions with other related student groups.  SEEE will also provide an easy and efficient way to form study groups for those in common classes and a place for those with common interests in environmental and ecological studies, to unite and share ideas to better the world.

Boiler Green Initiative: The Boiler Green Initiative is a multi-disciplinary, campus-wide student organization that focuses on the evaluation and continued enhancement of the sustainability of Purdue University and its surrounding communities.

 Logo of Purdue ESW Engineers for a Sustainable World: ESW-Purdue is a Purdue University Student Organization and acts as the Purdue chapter of the national Engineers for a Sustainable World organization. The Purdue chapter was founded in the Summer of 2008. Our mission is “to engage engineers in reducing poverty by improving environmental, social, and economic sustainability worldwide.”

Through teamwork and innovation each team member will gain knowledge in every aspect of the vehicle while helping the world take a step in the right direction for meeting our future energy needs.

Logo of PSEF Purdue Student Engineering Foundation: The Purdue Student Engineering Foundation is an organization dedicated to promoting engineering awareness amongst youth, prospective students, Purdue Alumni, first-year Purdue students, and the community. PSEF is an extraordinarily dedicated and enthusiastic group. Through a variety of unique programs, PSEF members work to promote education and careers in engineering, as well as the advancement of engineering in today's society.

Purdue Energy Forum: The Purdue Energy Forum is a group of Boilermakers devoted to exploring scientifically and economically focused solutions to the energy demands around the planet. We make a point of reaching out to the rest of the Purdue student body and Midwestern community to explain why the impending energy crisis, despite being overlooked by many, is the greatest challenge of our time.

  Purdue Agricultural Council: The Purdue Agricultural Council is a student organization ​​ran my approximately 22 undergraduates in various College of Agriculture majors and with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. The members serve two year terms, the officers being second year members. The members work as a cohesive unit toward one focus goal, promoting unity throughout the college.

Purdue Heifer International Chapter: The mission of the Purdue Heifer International Chapter is to work with communities local and globally to end hunger, poverty and to care for the earth through education, volunteer work and fundraising.

Electric Vehicle Club: The purpose of Purdue Electric Vehicle Club is to encourage the development, knowledge-base and enthusiasm towards electric vehicles by students and the community by hosting electric vehicle events, cruises and aiding it's members in converting their own vehicles to electric.

Students Growing Sustainable Communities: Students Growing Sustainable Communities is an organization aimed at community outreach through sustainability. We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to developing innovative solutions that will benefit the community and drive sustainability. We are a group of highly motivated students, and the goal of our club is to progress from helping local communities to eventually helping underprivileged communities around the nation.

Purdue Engineering Student Council: The Purdue Engineering Student Council was founded in 1975 and reorganized under its present constitution in 1980. With it’s mission statement of “serving students, serving faculty, serving industry” PESC has built upon its early foundations to become one of the most active organizations on campus. Its membership includes the most motivated and enthusiastic leaders at Purdue.

TEDxPurdueU: TEDxPurdueU strives to nurture a culture of innovation by sharing state of the art ideas developed by Purdue students, faculty, and alumni with the global TED community. The theme of TEDxPurdueU 2013 is “Past, Present, Progress” with each speaker providing a unique conceptual approach. Part of the beauty of TED is that it brings together speakers from at the top of many diverse fields and schools of thought–history, science, technology, and human relations are just a few–and this environment of collaborative, interdisciplinary learning is precisely what TEDx PurdueU aims to present.
