Ehsan Vahidi receives 2018 College of Engineering Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award

EEE Ph.D. candidate, Ehsan Vahidi, has received an Outstanding Research Award from the College of Engineering at Purdue University. This honor recognizes outstanding Ph.D. candidates who have demonstrated excellence in research through publications, recognized contributions to the research field and society, leadership within a research community, academic achievements, and participation in professional societies.

Ehsan obtained his BS from Sharif University of Technology and an MS degree from the University of Tehran both in Materials Engineering. He also holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of South Florida. Having joined the EEE in summer 2014, he is advised by Professor Fu Zhao on his Ph.D. thesis entitled "Environmental life cycle assessment of rare earth products". His research interests include sustainability assessment, recycling and reuse, and critical materials.
