Indiana Bicentennial Torch Team receives award from the College of Engineering

Congratulations to the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Team from Purdue University who received the Team Award from the College of Engineering during the Faculty Awards of Excellence banquet held on April 6.

For the bicentennial, EEE created environmental profiles for all 92 Indiana counties. These profiles were developed by a Purdue team of students to highlight the unique environmental characteristics of each county along the more than 3,200-mile relay route. Purdue student team members included Taisha Venort, Jacob Widner, and Monique Long, under the direction of Professor John W. Sutherland, Professor and Fehsenfeld Family Head of Environmental and Ecological Engineering.

The Indiana county profiles can be download individually or as a compressed file containing all 92 environmental assessments. The profiles offer information for each county in two-page packets that include details on conservation efforts, clean energy initiatives, endangered species, and local environmental challenges.
