At the culmination of each academic year, Environmental and Ecological Engineering takes time to recognize the academic and research achievements of our students and faculty. EEE Assistant Professor, Brandon Boor is the recipient of the Outstanding Engineering Graduate Student Mentor Award. This award is voted on by the EEE graduate students to recognize a faculty member who has been an outstanding mentor.

EEE Assistant Professor, Amisha Shah is the recipient of the Society of Environmental and Ecological Engineers (SEEE) Instructional Excellence Award. This award recognizes an EEE faculty member for outstanding achievement in the area of teaching with an emphasis on the past academic year. Students in the EEE undergraduate degree program vote for an instructor based on the faculty member's commitment to student success, ability to effectively communicate the material to students, and desire to motivate students to learn.

EEE Outstanding Senior Award recipient announced

Each year, the Environmental and Ecological Engineering (EEE) faculty presents an award to the outstanding senior during the annual recognition night in April. The selected recipient is recognized for their exceptional academic performance, leadership, service, and professional activities. This year’s recipient is Jenna Klinedinst.

 

 

 

Winner for Best Senior Design Poster announced at EEE Recognition Night

Ten teams from EEE’s Senior Design course presented their findings during the annual EEE Recognition Night in April, with one team declared the winner for Best Senior Design Poster. The winning team comprised of seniors Corrina Mauss, Spencer Hickey, Robert Yoder and Heather Strathearn worked with Oscar Winski Electronic Recycling to forecast the market shift from lead-acid batteries to lithium-ion batteries for the 12-volt Starting, Lighting, and Ignition function in automobiles.
