Professor Carol Handwerker receives 2017 John Bardeen Award

Environmental and Ecological Engineering and Materials Engineering Professor Carol Handwerker has received the 2017 John Bardeen Award from The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS).

Handwerker (pictured left) received the award based on her established record of research and publications in the field of electronic materials, her outstanding contributions, and her leadership in the field of electronic materials.

The John Bardeen Award recognizes the quality and relevance of work that has had or is likely to have a significant and lasting impact in the field of electronic materials. The award is named for Dr. John Bardeen, a two-time Nobel Prize winner for his work in the field of transistors and semiconductors.
