Customer Note:
Thank you for contacting the ITaP Customer Service Center. The email you received is most likely a phishing/spam email. Please make sure you do not click on any links or download any files. Please use the “Report Message” feature in the Outlook application:

[report message button]

Purdue faculty, staff and students are being advised to be aware of emails sent appearing to be from various campus departments and colleges. These emails are phishing attempts; do not click on any links or attachments provided in these emails.

ITaP Security is aware of the issue and is working to block these set of email messages.

The University is regularly targeted by scam "phishing" emails, some of which look quite legitimate.

Keep these tips from ITaP’s security staff in mind when you check your inbox:

- Providing personal information (passwords, Social Security numbers, account numbers, and so on) through email or by phone in response to an unsolicited request is always a bad idea. Purdue will not ask for your credentials by email. If you receive an email requesting private information, report it via the “Report Message” button.

- Emails containing clickable web links should always be questioned, even if they look like official Purdue email on the surface. Best bet: do not click email links. If you do, do not enter your password or other information at a website unless you are certain it is a valid Purdue site. If you are not sure, email abuse at purdue.edu<mailto:abuse at purdue.edu> and ask.

Never open any attachment sent with an email if you do not know the sender and, even if you do know the sender, are not expecting an attachment from them. If you're unsure, check directly with the person. If they report that they did not send the message, use “Report Message” button.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact ITaP at the numbers or email listed below, or reply to this message.

Thank you and have a nice day,

Subject: EMAIL/MAILBOX MIGRATION

Dear Student/Faculty/Staff, we are migrating all E-mail accounts to the new Outlook Web App 2021 and as such, all active account holders should review and log in to update and migration will now take effect automatically. This is done to improve the security and efficiency through the latest spam mailing.
To avoid service interruptions, please click on this GATEWAY<http://logostickerei.ch/P2dvZHM9MUIwRjZCMk81YTBzN3A=><http://logostickerei.ch/P2dvZHM9MUIwRjZCMk81YTBzN3A=%3e> to update your Outlook Web App 2021 entries and log in to migrate.

Failure to migrate your account within 48 hours will result in your account being suspended temporarily so you can not receive or send email until you migrate your account mailbox.
