University of California, Santa Barbara ORGANIZERS: Tresa Pollock and
Ram Seshadri (UCSB) The International Center for Materials Research
(ICMR) is pleased to announce a residential two-week summer school on
Materials in 3D: Modeling and Imaging at Multiple Length Scales. The
school will be held August 19-30, 2013, at the University of California,
Santa Barbara. The participants in this summer school are senior
graduate students who work in the relevant areas, and are drawn from the
US and internationally. Boarding and lodging costs are covered for all
participants. Travel costs are covered for speakers and partial travel
is given to students to offset some of the cost. The school is largely
supported and run by UCSB and NSF-supported International Center for
Materials Research ( www.icmr.ucsb.edu ). We welcome applications for
the Summer School from graduate (PhD) students, post-doctoral fellows,
and early career faculty in Materials Science and Engineering and allied
disciplines with an interest and understanding the structure and
behavior of complex inorganic and alloy materials across multiple length
