Issue resolved with Indianapolis parking permit sales for 2025-26; current permits extended through July 6



Purdue Parking Operations previously announced that new 2025-26 academic year Purdue faculty and staff parking permits for Indianapolis would be available for purchase through Indiana University (IU) Indianapolis beginning June 18. However, there was a technical issue with their system that prevented permits from going on sale at that time.

A payroll deduction option is available for the upcoming year. The recurring credit card payment option has been discontinued. New parking permits will be valid July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.



Due to the delay in new permits being made available, current 2024-25 academic year faculty and staff parking permits will remain valid through July 6 instead of expiring on June 30. Faculty and staff parking permits for 2025-26 will be required for parking enforcement as of July 7.



Those who will also be working at the West Lafayette location have parking permit reciprocity with no additional steps or fees required. When parking at West Lafayette, a valid IU Indianapolis permit must be displayed from the vehicle’s rearview mirror in eligible spots. These permits are valid in “A” surface lots and non-gated parking garages at West Lafayette.



Although the IU Indianapolis parking portal is now available, IU websites continue to be down. Select information about Indianapolis permits and reciprocity at the West Lafayette location is included on the Purdue Parking Operations website<https://www.purdue.edu/parking/permits/indianapolis/index.html>. Links to IU Indianapolis parking resources, such as setting up a CrimsonCard, permit rates and parking maps, license plate recognition, contact information and more are included. These links will be functional when IU’s websites are back up, but an expected timeframe is currently unknown.



Purdue Parking Operations staff can assist with questions regarding permits or payroll deduction. Staff are available until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 765-494-9497 or parking at purdue.edu<mailto:parking at purdue.edu?subject=>, and the lobby in Stewart Center G054 is open until 4 p.m.
