Hello EWBers, 

Below you can find a survey specifically aimed at groups like Engineers Without Borders. The purpose of the survey is to evaluate how well groups like ours actually benefit students. I hope that all of you will take the time to go through this, even if you haven’t been in the group for very long at all.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey by Purdue University. The aim of this survey is to evaluate Service Learning programs relevant to construction management both by students as well as professionals in the industry. For the purposes of this survey, Service Learning will be defined as follows:
 
-         A method under which students learn and develop through active participation in thoughtfully organized service that is conducted in and meets the needs of a community; is coordinated with an institution of higher education, or community service program, and with the community; and helps foster civic responsibility; and that is integrated into and enhances the academic curriculum of the students; and provides structured time for the students or participants to reflect on the service experience.
 
This survey should only take about 10 minutes of your time. The survey will be completed online and your answers will remain completely anonymous.
 
Directions:  Please be open and honest about the following questions. Your answers are anonymous and confidential. Your name will not be included in the data.  Please select the answer if one is given and write in an answer if an “other” option is provided.
