Below is information on a colloquium at Purdue next Wednesday about water quality. It apparently showcases the Global Engineering Programs project they were able to complete in Colombia. If you're in town still it might be interesting to check out.

FIRST COLLOQUIUM: WATER QUALITY IN COLOMBIA 
& 
THIRD GENERAL MEETING OF THE COLOMBIAN STUDENT ASSOCIATION AT PURDUE (CSAP) 



Where: BRNG 1242 
When: Wednesday June 22nd, 6:00 - 8:00 PM. 
Pizza and Colombian Snacks will be served. 

Feel free to invite anyone who could be interested in the Colloquium topic and/or the CSAP Activities 

1. Colloquium: Water Quality in Colombia (6:00 to 6:45 pm) 

Abstract: Water quality should be a basic necessity for all living beings due to its capacity of maintaining and enhancing life. This colloquium will present the efforts of a team, assembled by the Global Engineering Program - Purdue University and Barbosa-Antioquia (Colombia), towards developing a point-of-use system to improve the water quality for communities in rural areas. 

Keynote Speaker: SERGIO A. ABONDANO is a Civil Engineering Graduate Student and the Coordinator for Latin American Initiatives of the Global Engineering Program at Purdue University. 

CSAP’s Colloquiums: Developed as an opportunity for students and faculty to present research and other specific topics related with Colombia. Water Quality in Colombia is the first of these colloquiums. 

2. CSAP Third General Meeting (6:50 to 8:00 pm) 

Topics: 

- Introduction and motivation to the main event of the year: COLOMBIAN NIGHT: BREAKING STEREOTYPES. 
- Presentation of other incoming CSAP events and programs. 
- New Webmaster Appointment.
