Not getting a good night’s rest? Built to help participants better understand the role of sleep, this presentation equips listeners with powerful sleep tips and knowledge to help them make the most of a good night’s sleep.

APPLICATION OPENS!
Sponsored by the Purdue Writing Lab with support from the Purdue Graduate School. The purpose of the Intensive Writing Experience is to give graduate students in good standing with their programs time to write or to revise their thesis or dissertation with support from Writing Lab staff. Participants will receive writing instruction and support from Writing Lab staff, will spend significant time writing or revising their thesis or dissertation, and will network with other thesis and dissertation writers on campus.

During this unprecedented time, uncertainty is high, especially for international students. For this reason, the Graduate School, International Student Services, and Purdue’s Counseling and Psychological Services, have come together to answer your questions! Graduate School Associate Dean, Dr. Thomas Atkinson, ISS Director, Chris Collins, and two representative from Purdue CAPS, Dr. Drew Zaitsoff and Dr. Penny Peng, will each provide a brief introduction of available resources before using the remainder of the hour to answer your questions.

The second workshop in the NSF Fellowship preparation series emphasizes how to write a competitive personal statement. Topics covered will include how to write in a persuasive tone & how to discern which experiences to include.

Dr. James Mohler, Associate Dean of Graduate Education, will provide an overview of RCR topics, including: Value-based Decision Making, Research Integrity & Misconduct, Protecting Research Subjects, Data Recording and Management, Managing Conflicting Interests, Authorship & Peer Review, and Intellectual Property.
