 The Department of Agricultural Economics is hosting a seminar speaker on April 20 that I think will be on interest to many of you.

Chuck Hassebrook serves as Executive Director of the Center for Rural Affairs.....and has a high national profile on Federal agriculture, natural resource and rural development issues and policy. For example, he served on the National Commission on
Small Farms; and co-chaired the USDA Agricultural Science and Technology Review Board.
Interestingly, he also serves (and Chairs) the Board of Trustees of the U. of Nebraska.....so, he has insights and an interesting perspective on land grant universities as well.

Chuck Hassebrook, Executive Director of the Center for Rural Affairs, specializes in family farm issues, commodity program reform, rural development and revitalization policies. He speaks extensively on federal farm and rural policy, served on the National Commission on Small Farms, and co-chaired the USDA Agricultural Science and Technology Review Board.
