Rahul,
There should be no problem with your code. I’m guessing you have the wrong circuitry. It’s a bit hard to explain, but I’ve attached some picture of the buttons from the project we are working on. Generally it should be set up like this:
Input: Positive pin, front pin (the one sticking out in front)
Output: ground pin, bottom pin
If you are using a resistor it should be connected to the bottom pin as well

This is the setup for a basic button circuit. In the picture I sent you, the input is # 13, and the output # 6.

I just wanted to let you know that it's highly possible that the problem primarily revolves around the button's leads. Our initial circuit was using a simple tactile Arduino button (the tiny black ones) The circuit response was as expected and everything worked fine.
The issue we are having is that after wiring the button to the circuit (a simple one, as seen in the code attached) when we use the serial monitor to monitor everytime it's pressed, it either goes haywire or doesn't register at all. When we replaced the same button with the tiny one, it works fine.

I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look at the code attached (picture) and let me know if you spot anything wrong outright.

Just to make it easier for you understand, the code attached involves an Arduino and the button only.
It will increase the count from 0-4, by an increment of 1, every time the button is pressed and then resets to 0 and loops all over again.

Hi EPICS India,

I took a look at the buttons you ordered and see no problem with those. They should integrate into your circuit without a problem. I’ll admit that if you don’t have a lot of experience with circuitry, pushbuttons with LEDs can be tricky. It’s a little hard for me to help you any further through email because the problem is likely in your code or circuitry. My advice would be to build a simple circuit with one pushbutton and basic code in Arduino. That should give you a better idea of which leads should be connected to where. Alternatively if the LED is flashing at all or just seems wonky you may have the leads switched or may need to add a resistor. It’s hard for me to be any more specific through email not knowing what exactly the problems are. If you are still having issues integrating, I’d be happy to take a look at your code or circuitry if you send me files/pictures. Please feel free to ask any follow up questions you have.
