Subject: [Embrio-list] All-Hands Annual Retreat starts this morning at 8:30 in MJIS 1097

Dear EMBRIO Members,

We kick-off our 4th All-Hands Annual Retreat this morning with Welcome and Opening Remarks at 8:30 in MJIS 1097, followed by exciting updates from Journal Clubs on Ca++ signaling and imaging (registration, light breakfast items, coffee, tea, water available at 8am: please note that the building deputy states that food and drink are no longer allowed in the main room).

  *
Full agenda, maps, and poster details available on the Annual Retreat Website<https://www.purdue.edu/research/embrio/research/annual-retreat.php>
     *
We did not print agendas again this year. A large poster size agenda is available just outside of MJIS 1097.

  *
For those with posters: you are assigned to a specific numbered poster board and will present your lightning talk and poster during one of two post sessions, either today or tomorrow. Check in at the retreat website above to check on your poster session and board number, and lightning talk and/or check in with Jen this morning at the registration desk (note that we can't switch out lightning talk slides at this point).
     *

  *
This morning's schedule includes:
     *
8:30 Opening Remarks (David Umulis and Jeremy Zartman)
     *
8:45 Journal Clubs (David Gazzo, Linlin Li, Deiver Suarez Gomez)
     *
9:25 Connection Activity (Anjali Iyer-Pascuzzi)
     *
9:50 Panel & Discussion (Session Chairs: Stephanie Gardner and Elsje Pienaar) "Toward Integration in the Interdisciplinary     Research Framework of EMBRIO Institute: An Open Discussion on Cross-Systems Communications and Collaborations."
     *
11:10 Professional Development Session w/ Steph Gardner "What is your 'hook'? Integrating EMBRIO into your elevator pitch"

  *
If you have an EMBRIO shirt from previous years - wear it/bring it today - we'll have a group photo right before lunch. New members, or those attending for the first time - you have first dibs on the limited number of t-shirts available at the registration desk - see Jen.

See you soon!
Brent
