Our fourth annual Summer School kicks off next Monday, continuing through Wednesday, followed by our All-Hands Annual Retreat next Thursday and Friday (reminders and event websites below). For those planning to present a poster and/or submit an entry for the scientific figure or live video award - I need that info submitted by EOB Tuesday, June 3rd (tomorrow). There will be a few updates/additions to the events schedules this week, and those will be posted via the website.

At the website, or in the email that Scott Bolton sent you this afternoon, Please see the additional information for preparing data now for what to bring for the Data Management session on Tuesday, June 10th. As part of the training we will have on June 10th, you will need to bring samples of your lab’s microscopy image data and publication data. You will learn how to upload and manage your images and metadata information during the session.

Thrust leaders are asked to present significant new updates and integrative outcomes on their projects and discuss goals/plans for our Y5 and for the following five years if we are funded, while spending some time to discuss ideas to continue collaborations without NSF funding.

EMBRIO Trainees: 2025 CompuCell3D Virtual Tissue Modeling Workshop and Hackathon

Our partners at I.U. in the Glazier Lab and Biocomplexity Institute have announced the 2025 CompuCell3D Virtual Tissue Modeling Workshop and Hackathon at Indiana University, Bloomington, July 28th to August 10th, 2025. Learn to model your biological system of interest with one-on-one help. Week 1 will cover CC3D basics. Week 2 will cover advanced topics in CC3D, followed by a 2-day model-building hackathon. Physicists, biologists, computer scientists, and modelers team up to build research-grade models of biological systems. All experience levels are welcome.
