Dear EMBRIO Folk:

A reminder that we'll resume EMBRIO All-hands Weekly Meetings Augutst 14th for the Fall semester at our normal time of Mondays at 3-4 PM. The Student Leadership Council has organized a mini-workshop on 3D Scientific Visualization with Blender open-source software to kick off the Fall series.

An FYI that I (Brent) will be out on medical leave for a surgery this Thursday, July 27, with return Aug. 14th, so I likely won't be able to attend to EMBRIO needs until I return.

Your Evaluation of Annual Retreat and Summer Workshop
Please take a few minutes to provide your feedback and thoughts for those who attended the summer workshop and for those who attended the annual retreat. The surveys are optional; however, we hope you will complete them, as your input helps us to accurately report our progress and outcomes to our funder, The National Science Foundation.

Student Leadership Council Seeks New Members and Input:
The budding EMBRIO Student Leadership Council is recruiting trainees interested in representing their institution and Institute Trainees. Please contact the current council officers Feyisayo Akande, David Gazzo, and Jazzmin Owens about your interest and questions in serving on this team (they are CCd here).

You can view documents about the council on our shared Box account under "Student-GSO_EMBRIO": https://app.box.com/s/2hrjxu38el7rlusr3wim2t29r4q419dt<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fapp.box.com%2Fs%2F2hrjxu38el7rlusr3wim2t29r4q419dt&data=05%7C01%7Cembrio-list%40ecn.purdue.edu%7C364e1931f06a4d6dccf308db8c4f19b4%7C4130bd397c53419cb1e58758d6d63f21%7C0%7C0%7C638258043589630379%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=EMIdS9ta6Sv1fm8X1BvKbdHf%2BwN4kASlZDFK3Shg3JM%3D&reserved=0>

The Council is recruiting members from all of the EMBRIO institutions, including postdoc fellows to serve. The Council represents and promotes trainee interests as part of the EMBRIO Directors Team and incorporates ideas from all trainees into social and professional development offerings.
