ECEA : Meeting follow-up

Hello ambassadors,

There are a few topics that I need to follow up on from our meeting this week. 

At the end of this email I included instructions on how to view the ECEA events 
calendar. I have already added each of you (with your Purdue email address) in 
the share list for the calendar, please see notes at the end of instructions if 
it appears I might have omitted your address.

For those of you who were unable to attend the meeting, please send me a short 
reply with information on whether you need a name tag, ECEA polo shirt or ECEA 
dress shirt. If you need a name tag, please also mention what is the preferred 
name you would like to have printed on it (if different from your legal name). 
For shirts, state size and style (mens, ladies).

Finally, please let me know if the meeting time (Tue, 5.30pm) does not work for 
you because of a class conflict, I may set future meetings for a later time if 
there are too many problems or figure out a compromise for those affected.

Our next regular meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 14, in EE118. I 
am working on scheduling training sessions for new ambassadors, these will most 
likely take place immediately after regular meetings, I will notify you by email 
when I have a final schedule.

Here are the instructions to join into viewing the ECEA Events Calendar on 
Google Calendars:

 1. Go to the following URL: http://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/purdue.edu

 2. If you already have an account set up for Google tools with your Purdue user 
ID, log in and skip to step 6. Otherwise, click on the "create an account here" 
link.

 3. Fill out the registration form, and click the button at the bottom of the 
page to complete registration.

 4. Check for the verification email in your Purdue mailbox (this should arrive
very quickly), and click the address confirmation URL included in this message.

 5. In the page that opens up, click "continue" and then select "Calendar"

 6. If the ECEA events (such as our meeting on 8/31) already appear on your 
calendar, you are done! If not, continue with the following steps: 

 7. On the left side of your screen, under "Other Calendars", click Add ->  Add 
a Friend's Calendar and type "ecea.purdue at gmail.com" in the address field and
confirm. You should be able to immediately see ECEA events in your calendar.

 Notes:
 * You might get a message that you need authorization to view that calendar, in
 which case please click "send request" and I will authorize you to view the
 calendar shortly
 * If no warning message appears, verify that you have set the ECEA calendar to
 visible mode (disabled calendars appear on a dimmer background under "Other
 Calendars", and you can enable any one of them by simply clicking on the name)
