[Che-student-staff-list] Spring Fling – Attendance Guidelines and Main Office Closure

Dear All,
Purdue’s annual Spring Fling will take place tomorrow, Thursday, May 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the surrounding Memorial Mall area. Faculty, staff, student employees, and retirees are invited to attend.

University policy<https://www.purdue.edu/newsroom/purduetoday/2025/Q2/spring-fling-set-for-thursday-2/?utm_source=sfmcPT&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=250521PurdueToday&utm_term=Spring+Fling+set+for+Thursday&utm_id=1106441> allows staff to participate in Spring Fling during their regular work hours without using vacation, sick leave, or personal holiday time. Attendance during normally scheduled hours is considered regular paid time. Temporary employees may attend if their schedules permit, but this time is not paid. Those not scheduled to work on May 22, including evening and night shift staff, are also welcome to join. Staff attending the event are not expected to return to work if they have one hour or less remaining in their workday. Employees already on vacation or sick leave that day should remain on that status, as paid attendance does not apply in these instances.

To support participation, the main office will close at the start of the event and will remain closed for the rest of the day. We will resume normal business operations the following day.
