Hello everyone,

Please join me in congratulating to Dr. Tayler Hebner and her research group for being awarded the Hazardous Materials Recognition Award for the Spring 2025 semester by the Purdue Hazardous Materials Management department within Purdue EHS! The award was presented today by Dr. Robin Ridgway, Director of Environmental Health and Safety Compliance and the hazardous waste technicians team during the Dr. Hebner's group meeting (please see attached a picture from the award presentation).

The award was introduced by EHS Hazardous Waste Management in Fall 2024 semester, and recognizes every semester 2-3 labs from all across campus that have consistently gone above and beyond in making the technicians' jobs easier regarding waste collection from the labs.  The lab that was recognized today is FRNY 2182 - well done to the whole group! This recognition underscores the group's commitment to research safety and safe lab operations, in addition to the commitment to the safety of the persons handling the hazardous waste generated in the lab.
