[Che-student-staff-list] New Business Office Business Assistant

It is my pleasure to inform you that our new Lead Business Assistant, Gatiba Aliyeva, begins work next Monday, February 3rd.  Gatiba comes to us from industry but has a connection to Purdue as her spouse is currently working in ITaP.   Gatiba will be undergoing several weeks of training and orientation to become acquainted with business operations of Purdue; I certainly understand the challenges ahead "being from the outside" but I am confident that she will succeed.  Your patience is appreciated during this period as I know she will work very hard to be an excellent resource to everyone regarding all business operations of Chemical Engineering.  Please stop by in the next few weeks to say hello!

We all owe a debt of gratitude to Jill Stacy who has done an outstanding job of filling in our office during this interim period.  Jill's role within the College of Engineering is that of a "floating" Business Assistant; going wherever she is needed to assist and do exactly what she has done for Chemical Engineering.  Jill will be transitioning her role to Gatiba over the next few weeks on-site and will always be available to our office in case of questions.  Please join me in thanking Jill for the tremendous amount of hard work and perseverance required to put our accounts in good standing.

I thank each and every one of you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work very hard to create a Business Office worthy of your work.  I certainly have appreciated the courtesy you have extended me and am confident that Gatiba will feel "at home" very soon.
