Subject: Solar Rollers Education Event Volunteer Call Out


Hello Everyone,



The GSO will be hosting the first Solar Rollers Day on Friday April 13th. Close to 60 middle school students from Tecumseh Junior School will attend the all day event in Forney. They will learn about engineering through assembly of model solar powered cars with the assistance of graduate student volunteers. At the end of the day students will get the chance to race the cars they built.



We are looking for graduate student volunteers to help throughout the day. Depending on the shift you sign up for you will get the chance to interact directing with the students to build and design cars, eat lunch and discuss college as an engineer, and help with racing the model cars. If you are interested in getting involved please add your information to the following google sheet. The schedule for the day is also attached.
