[Che-student-staff-list] Health update, March 5, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

Some of you are aware that following a short but productive period since my last hospital discharge (Feb 12) until last Friday<x-apple-data-detectors://0> (March 2), I was readmitted to the hospital on Sat morning<x-apple-data-detectors://1> with a 101.7 temp (rising sharply), diagnosed as "early" pneumonia.  There, I was on IV antibiotics, slept most of the time, was tested multiple ways, and everything looking good (temp normal and stable for 24 hrs), was discharged at 12 noon today - almost exactly 48 hours later.  I'll remain on oral antibiotics for 5 more days.

I am thankful once again to my vigilant medical team that watches closely over me and took immediate action to admit me to the hospital.  My current chemo 1/2-cycle was due to start today, but it's pushed back to Wed this week - and we'll make up the lost two days with start of the next full cycle (#4) on Monday, March 19.
