Dear All,

I am writing this note with mixed feelings.  Erin Fetter has accepted a new position within the College of Engineering Business Office.  Her new title will be the "Assistant Director of Financial Affairs" and she will be directing the management of finances and business services for the College's research portfolio.  Along with research, she will be the primary business support for CoE Associate and Assistant Deans for Undergraduate Education, Associate Dean for Graduate Education, and Associate Dean for Research.  In her new role, she will supervise three business managers (including ChE), the research account manager, as well as a research specialist.

Although Erin will transition to her new role effective immediately, there should be relatively little impact on our School's Business Office right away.  She will remain in her leadership and supervisory roles, as well as continue her responsibilities within our School.  Please continue to route communications to her as you do today.

The Chemical Engineering Business Manager position will be posted immediately, to initiate the process of finding a replacement.  While difficult to predict, it is hoped that a person will be in place by early March 2016.  In her new position, Erin will be responsible for working with the new ChE business manager to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible.  Along with Jason Dietz, Director of Financial Affairs for the CoE, she is committed to working closely with ChE faculty and staff, to ensure that the impact of her new position is minimal.

By any measure, ever since she joined us in August 2013, Erin Fetter has done a superb job as our School's Business Manager.  We look forward to continue working with her and wish her the very best for the future!
