Dr. Steven R. Lustig (MS ’85, PhD ’89) – Industrial R&D Award. This award recognizes individuals or teams working in the industries served by chemical engineers for innovation that has resulted in the successful commercial development of new products and/or new processes for making useful products.

Dr. E. Terry Papoutsakis (MS ’76, PhD ’79) – D.I.C Wang Award for transformative contributions in metabolic engineering and clostridial biotechnologies, cell-culture engineering and stem-cell biotechnologies.

Dr. Arvind Varma, the R. Games Slayter Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering and Jay and Cynthia Ihlenfeld Head of the School of Chemical Engineering – Warren K. Lewis Award for Chemical Engineering Education. This award recognizes distinguished and continuing contributions to chemical engineering education.
