Student Recognition

*         Graduate students Ranjita Ghose, Aniruddha Kelkar, Krishnaraj Sambath and Anand Venkatesan were felicitated at the Purdue Student Innovator reception on  December 5. The reception was attended by acting President Sands as well other officials from the Burton D. Morgan center, Office of Technology Commercialization and Krannert. They were honoring Purdue students who have filed for intellectual property in the last year.

*         Two ChE undergraduate students, Candace Corso (Fall 2012) and Isaura Frost (Spring 2013) are the recipients of the only two Leonard E. Wood Scholarships given out annually by the Purdue Co-Op program. Co-Op students are awarded the Leonard E. Wood Scholarship in honor of his dedication to the program.  A Scholarship in the amount of $900 is given to one Co-Op student each Fall and Spring semester.  This enables Dr. Wood's legacy to benefit Co-Op students now and in the future.



Miscellaneous

*         Jeff Valley has been back work since November 14, please address him first for any building issues.

*         ChE Leadership Library - we have quite a lot of new titles in the ChE Leadership Library, attached you will find a complete list. Let me know if you are interested in borrowing a book. If you have finished with the book you have checked out, please return it to me in FRNY 1060F.



New Employees

*         Brian Cortez - student helper for Jeff Valley.

*         Jeff Greeley, Associate Professor, will join us on January 2nd. His office will be 2154 and his email is jgreeley at purdue.edu. <mailto:jgreeley at purdue.edu.%20>

*         Jesica Hollinger, Development Secretary, replacing Katherine Yater Henke. Her email is jeholin at purdue.edu<mailto:jeholin at purdue.edu> and her phone is 44811.



Employees leaving

*         Katherine Yater Henke moved to a new secretarial position with the Diversity Resource Office.

*         Colin Hughes - student helper for Jeff Valley, resigned from his ChE position.
