Dear Colleagues,

I am absolutely delighted to inform that Bryan Boudouris has been selected to receive an AFOSR Young Investigator Research Award!  His project, titled "Molecular Design and Device Application of Radical Polymers for Improved Charge Extraction in Organic Photovoltaic Cells," will receive $120K/year for 3 years.

I should mention that reviewing the list of awardees (48 awardees from 220 applicants), I know a few ChEs from other institutions who are in their 3rd or 4th year - Bryan has received this award in his very first year of faculty appointment, with the proposal submitted a few months after he joined us in August 2011.  This is a most impressive accomplishment.
