This is a reminder that we encourage you to nominate an alumni for Purdue Engineering's 38 by 38 recognition. Eligible alumni would include those who graduated circa 2009 and after and who are 38 years old or younger as of January 1, 2026.

The deadline for nominations is Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Purdue Engineering Faculty and Staff,

The second year of Purdue Engineering's 38 by 38 program was another great success! Once again, hundreds of nominations and applications were reviewed to identify 38 exceptional young alumni who continue to demonstrate the very best of what it means to be a Purdue Engineer. While nominations came from all over the world from colleagues, journalists, bosses, friends, and family members, many nominations of the 2025 class came from Purdue Engineering faculty and staff.  The portal for the 2026 class is open, and I encourage you to nominate Purdue Engineering alumni who are 38 years old and younger on January 1, 2026, and who meet the following criteria:


  1.  The nominee has demonstrated an accelerated trajectory of professional success by such measures as quickly increasing responsibilities or advancement to a leadership role; successful growth or sale of business; early career recognitions within their company, institution, or industry; impactful discovery, learning, and engagement; and/or high regard within their field, and
  2.  The nominee's achievements have made significantly high impact to their organization, to their board/shareholders, to society or to their community, i.e. as measured in units relative to their work, such as sales, revenue, margin, licensing of patents, lives improved or saved, citations, start-up companies, etc.

Our 2025 cohort was extremely competitive, with many outstanding alumni coming close to being selected among the top 38. One more year of achievement might make all the difference! We encourage you to re-nominate alumni you supported last year-or introduce new candidates for consideration.
