Hi Engineering Graduate students and Postdocs,



Faculty careers come in many forms, from research-intensive roles to teaching-focused positions and industry-connected appointments. Whether you prioritize groundbreaking discoveries, inspiring the next generation, or applying research to real-world challenges, there’s a faculty path that fits your passion. Learn how a faculty career might be right for you through our mentoring circle program!



Calling all applicants for the Summer 2025 Engineering Academic Career Club (EACC<https://boilerlink.purdue.edu/organization/eacc>) Mentoring Circles!



What: Mentoring Circles are focused on preparing for a career as a faculty member. Circles will be made of two Professors and 6-8 graduate students or postdocs. EACC will provide sample schedule and discussion topics.

When: Meet twice a month for 1hr from May to August (8 meetings total, dates below). 

Where: Virtual on Zoom (celebration will be hybrid, with on campus option).

Virtual Kickoff for mentors and mentees - Wednesday April 30, 2025; 12:30-1:30pm

Groups meet twice a month on the following dates from 12:30-1:30pm (1hr; flexibility allowed if needed):

The goal of this Mentoring Circle program is for graduate students/postdocs to identify achievable goals for themselves, which will help them establish a timeline from PhD to Professorship.
