Purdue researchers recently analyzed and identified internal redundancy and system redundancy in steel bridges. Their findings, which include suggested procedures that owners can use for re-classifying non-redundant steel tension members (NSTMs), are now live!

Lyles CCE Graduate Student Deepak Benny Named IRF Fellow

Deepak Benny, has been selected as an International Road Federation (IRF) Fellow for the Class of 2025. This prestigious class is a small group of graduate students selected from universities worldwide that received the fellowship from the IRF and Nex (an American Concrete Institute Center of Excellence) to participate in the 2025 Road Scholar Program, January 3–10, 2025, in Washington DC.

Purdue Civil Engineering Class Combines Fun and Learning with BoilerMat Board Game

To encourage the students to learn more in a fun way and without screens involved, Lyles Graduate Teaching Fellow Marina García López-Arias and Professor Mirian Velay-Lizancos decided to design together a trivia-inspired board game called BoilerMat.

Ayman Habib, Thomas A. Page Professor of Civil Engineering, has been named a Fellow of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS). This is one of the highest professional achievement awards bestowed by ASPRS.
